Today I decided that I was going to take my kids to the aquarium before we got there a woman called the cops on me. She didn’t believe I could be Black , disabled and in a wheelchair with children. She believed I kidnapped them.🤦🏾‍♀️ I can’t …… y’all

"Take more than one mask when you go to medical appts" you may suggest? Well, I would if they'd let me. Nearly all of the time, they refuse. Because to them, masking is only a liability concern. They really don't give a fuck about protecting the most vulnerable.

It really frightening that because masks are largely cost prohibitive for me, the only times I can grab a mask is when I go to medical appts. That means I'm interacting with hundreds of potential carriers of illnesses, esp viruses, that could kill me before I can access mask.

All these people shocked that there's so many bad nurses haven't spent a lot of time in a hospital. One time, I was in pain crying & the nurses were right outside my door laughing at me. Saying I was probably a drug addict and that they thought I was pregnant cause I was so fat

Would be great if websites and apps were required to have uniform accessibility options. Browser and device settings aren't enough. Having to go back and forth between various forms of lacking accessibility is extremely exhausting and time consuming. #CripTax #DisabilityTwitter

The judgement on people who are receiving benefits pisses me off SO much. I don't care how much you dislike someone, saying "it's not even their money" / "it's the taxpayer's money" / "I'm really paying for you" whilst judging how a person spends their benefits is so awful.

My wheelchair folds up. I've been an adult for decades. This is bullshit. Still pissed off, especially because this happens all the time.

This guy really did tell me, "Nah, there's services for crippled people like you. I don't fuck with wheelchairs, kid." Then he laughed and drove off. 😡

driver has 5 stars, but then again those are probably from the ableds he picks up. He refuses to pick up disabled people like me.

There’s a belief that people with chronic illnesses or disabilities ever get positive attention for it. 99% of the time it’s fully negative attention. That other 1% of the time you’re inspiration porn or fundraising. Which still brings some negativity. #KnivesOutSpoonies
