After listening to player feedback, we realize that Blaston isn’t the best fit for this type of advertising test. Therefore, we no longer plan to implement the test. We look forward to seeing you in the arena and hope you try the Crackdown Update that went live today!

No offense but was it intentional to space these tweets 3 hours apart?

This makes much more sense. I have no problem with ads in a free VR game (not unlike free mobile games) but if there's advertisements in a game I already paid money for, that's when I get a bit annoyed.
-
A lot of people put the absolute minimum effort into a mobile game and run ads nonstop. Where the good games cost 1, 2, 5, 10$. If i play a free game that display ads but i enjoy it. Just give me the option to pay and remove the ads.

That makes a lot more sense. Ads make very little sense in a game you already paid for.

This makes perfect sense! I support this

Yeah ads in free games with an option to pay to remove them I'm less annoyed about, I have no problem with a dev getting money for their hard work one way or another I think most would have charged £10 for bait and I think it's worth it too

Good decision, you can not tell the players: "Hey pay for this" and on the other hand make them see advertising. If you want us to be honest with your work, buying and supporting it, advertising is not the best way to convince us to do it.
-
People are angry and will not legally buy or play games with ads that are not free.
