I want to know the cost of education around the world, but not the US. So: anyone that does not live in the US, respond to this with how much your full education cost you or your family, and what benefits or grants you got from the government (ie. funding, public transit, etc)
Lemme think in £. Up to high school in Poland - £0 in fees (all public). The cost of books, student bus tickets etc. roughly £5k for 12 years. Private English classes on top about £1.5k for 4 years.

One year of public Uni (still Poland) - £0 fees. I got £2k from a grant and I was working part-time for a few months for about £2k so that all covered accommodation and living. Sadly education in Poland is not great (and not a great country either).

After moving to the UK it was way harder. 2 years of BSc - £7k. Gov loan covered fees (this was the last year before fees tripled). No financial support for EU students and living costs was about £14k to put in. Had to work and get support from parents to barely scrape by.
