I was speaking to someone today who is working with a 19yr old trans woman who is currently being forced to keep their male name, male pronouns and identify as a male until they can get a "referral" to a gender identity clinic, despite presenting as a woman.

They detest their body, can't even look at themselves when they shower, refuse to ever be naked, actively consider self harm on a regular basis and are bsolutely terrified of being forced to go into the male toilets when out in public.

That is the reality for too many people as a result of the narrative that has been pushed for so long that trans women aren't women and are to be feared. It destroys their lives.
