Its i all very well saying have another full lockdown but when that ends and numbers drop, what happens next? Re open as last time and then the numbers go back up again! Locking down just delays the inevitable so there needs to be another plan and a focused plan.

Test and trace does need sorting no doubt but also people need to adhere to the rules. So many places are going from tier 1 to 2 to 3 that shows that t and t is not working but also far too many people are not following the restrictions. How long do you lock down for? Years?

Without working, enforced, effective test & trace yes - it'll be years.
