Well, I understand the reason to ask about pronouns in slavic langs — our adjectives and verbs have gender markers. But why you should ask in english? In conversation with them you will use only "you" So it's needed only when you talk not with them
It's not ok to misgender someone, regardless if they hear it or not.

You can use a name instead of pronouns (if you don't know them) In English it's possible to don't use any word with g.marker

Or you can call them the way they asked and not be an asshole, which is way easier than repeating someone's name every sentence.

If someone used the wrong pronouns to speak about me, it would only make them seem stupid. It would not affect me in any way. But maybe this is because as a female, I think in terms of what can or cannot physically harm me before I consider how people perceive my identity.
