yeah exactly. they’re dependent on the EU, that’s why the government doesn’t break the rules more than they already do—I’m certain they’d be much worse without the EU reprimanding them. I do hope the EU does more to get Poland to respect queer people’s human rights though.
They broke so many EU rules already that nothing is granted. It is a fascist state now with no independent courts that could stop them.
This is terrifying. And versions of it are happening everywhere. Our collective memory as a planet is too short.
