No, we are one of the richest countries in the world and we have enough wealth to do stuff like this. It is just a matter of political will.

We have a duty to protect our citizens in all our towns & cities and a temporary suspension of foreign aid, (which has been abused by some nations for years) gives immediate access to funds to do so, and that can not be a bad thing
