After our conversation on @BBCRadio4 #SaturdayReview suggested that Untitled Goose Game might not actually be so great for non-game-players after all, I'm interested in what games you WOULD Recommend for people who want to "get into video games"?pic.twitter.com/sJ2XvBxDVO

people often say Journey, right? because it's arty and demonstrates the merit of the medium etc etc. except it's not the MOST accessible to actually play

Had this experience recently with a family member and a PS4. I’d not played Journey but was surprised at how much literacy it assumed. Same with fl0w too, although they enjoyed that so much they played around with it happily. Gorogoa actually worked really well.

Gorogoa is such a great game, and feels so different from other games in terms of how you play it that maybe players and non-players are on more of an equal footing?

Yeah, I think so. Plus it gets a lot out of fairly familiar (and few) inputs.

I tested in on my very non-gamer ex. Gorogoa worked really well. Anything where you have camera control will not work with gamepad (so journey would be too difficult initially, he completed it few games in).
