Polish ruling party's proposed EU commissioner is a former communist-era judge, in fact a martial-law-era judge. Previously, their assault on the independent judiciary was justified on the grounds that it would purge such people from public life. Amusing, no?https://twitter.com/lis_tomasz/status/1166032605973831680 …

It must be so confusing for people who think that the Polish "right-wing" government is actually anti-communist

I was in Warsaw last month & my friend told me that was evidence the Lech Walesa was on the Communist payroll and during the round table he helped secure a soft landing for former soviets. They have the actual receipts. Have you heard that?

Everyone did. There is only a single document he signed saying he will cooperate. If anything actually happened after that, we don't know. Attacking him without a proof is tactic of current party for years.

The story was that some guy died, and in his papers, locked in his safe, there were receipts to Walesa...then the wife took it to the papers. Is that true or not true. Given the original tweet, and lack of lustration, it would seem that if his goal was a soft landing,he succeeded

Those were proved to be false. That never stopped ruling party from attacking him. They are not relying on reality heavily.
