Executive producer can mean anything, from 'I was heavily involved in the project from the beginning' to 'I slapped my name on it, cause why not'.
To a point, sure, except that Drew IS heavily involved and not just getting an EP credit for fluff. For the record, I actually agree with his characterization of some of the fans to which he was referring.
