Men being surprised and impressed that women eat steak and play videos games reinforces that it's not normal for us to eat steak and play videos games. Some of us eat steak and play videos games. And some of us don't. Because humans can like different things regardless of gender.

Cool. Except I’m not tracking. I just meet plenty of women who don’t play video games, or despise video games. And it is genuinely a surprise when I meet one that does. Can’t help that.

52% of Gamers are female, but....What games? If a woman tells you she plays the Sims or candy crush you wont be surprised. If a woman tells you she plays Counterstrike, Fifa and Total War you may be a little more surprised.

Doesn't that number encapsulate mobile gaming and emulators? Most of the time the guys are more surprised that they met a girl that plays the larger platformed games, CoD, Red Dead, ect.

I'd say Emulators count more than Smart Phone games. LOT of old ass games out there that you can't really play legally anymore.
