We get our data from YouTubes API which should continue to show accurate data for subscriber count.

Upon closer look, it might affect our data display, but only time will tell.

To confirm, third parties that use YouTube API Services will also get the same abbreviated public counts as you'll see on YouTube. Read the full announcement here: http://yt.be/help/abbrev-count …

Why do you hate being a respected platform? Seriously. Nobody: YouTube every 6 months or so: "LET'S REMOVE A FEATURE EVERYONE LOVES"

There won't be. Nor do I think this action is enough to even warrant an uprising. It's just disappointing to see YouTube be so disappointing as a platform time and time again.

What do you think would be enough to warrant it? I don't know, I just don't get why so many creators complain so frequently about how much YT screws them over and yet not once have I seen one take direct action and go for broke in supporting a new platform. It can go a long way.

Everyone always seems to just wait for a new platform to become viable on its own. And put simply, that's not how it works. It would require heavy support from multiple big players, and a lot of sacrifice. It really isn't impossible, they just need to be 100% dedicated.

Probably because of the time they’ve invested and also the mistakes that youtube makes are so easily fixable, plus let’s be honest a lot of the big players on YouTube don’t have nearly as many views as subscribers, so they’re probably afraid to lose them
