Closing: Sanai Kintchen shares getting outside from a teen's perspective. She learned a lot about the connection between the land and people and is happy for the opportunity to get outside and work being done. #InclusiveOutdoors

Wayne Hubbard: Another thing that's important is the policy and law makers. #InclusiveOutdoors

Candice Price: We do our best to include everyone in our events. All should be included in everything. Why are they separate? Why are we separate? The dynamic is gonna change in the future. #InclusiveOutdoors

Dr. Pinckney: And I don't know if we have an immediate answer but we need people to pull together and do the work in a meaningful way. #InclusiveOutdoors

Q: How do intersections in the Black community, like being LGBTQ+ or being disabled, help or hinder? Dr. Pinckney: We really need to get people who are like minded together, not just professionals and find ways to adequately answer those questions. #InclusiveOutdoors

Chris Schell: It shouldn't all be on our (Black people's) shoulders. We should all be protecting the outdoors. Mother Nature doesn't care if we're gone or fighting. #InclusiveOutdoors

Chris Schell: We need to fix the Leaky Pipeline. There's a lot of talent out there. Young Black kids get the passion wrung out of them as they go through it. #InclusiveOutdoors

Chris Schell: It's important to talk about structure. Like the Leaky Pipeline. Someone coming up in school interested in this field getting told at different points they can't make it or they're not cut out for it. These are stories I've heard before. #InclusiveOutdoors

Wayne Hubbard: We had more people online and getting involved online, and with that they were asking how they did not know about this before. So yes it helped, but there's more that we can do like teaching being outside responsibly. #InclusiveOutdoors

Q: Has recent events helped or hindered Black people getting outdoors? Candice Price: Black Lives Matter, and we definitely do matter. We had to work around the pandemic but we got do some of our events online and people showed up. #InclusiveOutdoors

The one question we hear all the time is "We can't find them. They aren't there." Candice Price, "That's the biggest lie not just in the outdoors but in all facets. We're here, we're ready. That's why they brought us here in the first place, bc we're skilled" #InclusiveOutdoors

Wayne Hubbard, "Shelton you are one of those people I call pioneers, and as happy as I am to have seen you with @Oprah, I was more happy that you were there!" #InclusiveOutdoors

Candice Price, "There are allies everywhere. There are people that will work with you. But I think there's more of the others that won't." #InclusiveOutdoors
