A very narrow assessment. Forget CO2 & AGW - that's a distraction from the real problems. Every human (especially in developed countries) consumes huge amounts of natural resources, resulting in deforestation, desertification, pollution. The planet doen't have infinite resources!

SO glad I didn’t procreate-wasn’t because I was ‘scared’, was because I was smart. If ‘potential parents ‘ are capable of being scared, best they don’t procreate in the first place.

I don't know why just an apocalyptic future is a good reason to not having children. We have some good reasons why don't do it now. See David Benatar's The Human Predicament and Better Never to have Been.

Bennatar failed to actually define what is qualitatively distinctive though. He never actually gave parameters for what could be “good” and “bad.” He interprets much and understands little. He is wickedly intelligent, but he has too many fatal flaws to be taken seriously.
