It would make more sense to work on demand. For example if you use electricity to produce aluminium, you can store aluminium ingots, bars and sheets insted of storing electricity, and when electricity prices are high you simply switch the smelter off and tap your storage.

Your article doesn't take into consideration the true costs such as environmental damage and health affects into consideration. You are only concerned about short-term costs, not long term costs which are much greater for fossil fuels. A shortsided viewpoint and argument.
