Denmark is not an island and can access larger neighbors grid Norway, Sweden and Germany, who generate 26 times more electricity. This allows Denmark to use large amounts of wind power. Larger countries have to balance their grids using fossil fuels.

@BjornLomborg you badly discredit yourself when you include renewables with a small % of TOTAL global energy. Green energy is IN electricity generation - whereas 55% of oil is consumed in transportation fuels.@MLiebreich -
Global warming is driven by *all* energy emissions, not just subset of electricity Presenting % renewables of electricity leaves out 60% of emissions i.e. less informative to the efficacy of our solutions (And pls keep civil, no need for "discredit" – just make ur argument)

Bjorn, you know exactly that the world is not "run" on Total Primary Energy Supply, because 2/3 of that is waste heat. It is run on Final Energy Consumption. Please stop deliberately misleading people, it is such a waste of everyone's time. Or is that the point?

You know you're being fooled if nuclear scores higher than hydro. In real life, hydro delivers 2/3 more electricity than nuclear.
