I suspect that many of them take on other jobs since they are still pretty young. For instance, a cop might get a private guard position, or do security consulting, depending on skill set.

Maybe I'm not reading paper carefully enough but isn't it possible the unhealthiest men are likeliest to choose early SS at 62? Consistent w/increase in mortality "largest for males who did not complete high school." Paper has causality running other way, opposite isn't addressed
