Intermittent sources of energy like wind and solar will never be able to compete with on-demand sources like fossil fuels and nuclear, no matter how much R&D money is thrown at them. I want my lights to come on all the time, not just some of the time. #thatdogdonthunt
We need to invest in this R&D because alternative energy sources like solar and wind are far from ready to compete with fossil fuels on the market.
