Might be a useful analogy if every traffic death made highways more dangerous to the generations that followed. But that’s not how it works.
Generations that follow will have to use knowledge and technology to adapt and flourish in their environment, exactly what humans have done since the dawn of time. Fortunately for them, they will inherit the most knowledge and best tech the world has ever known. They will be fine
The trouble with ecological collapse (see Jared Diamond) is that by the time it is imminent (your yardstick for action) it is about two generations too late to do anything about it
Finding great difficulty getting this book. Out of print along with Spellenberger book. Major bookstores not stocking. What is going on
It was out-of-stock over new years, but my understanding is that it was just shortage of Amazon trucks... It is back on amazon...https://www.amazon.com/False-Alarm-Climate-Change-Trillions/dp/1541647475 …
sorry, when you measure everything through $ value, we cant trust how you judge tradeoffs. for one, because you probably dont price all externalities, and secondly - some things just cannot be priced (like the satisfied healthy breathing of a child, lost to fossil air pollution)
