So cool
Where is nuclear?
There are no Nuclear fueled commercial ships in the world. About 200 war ships, split among 6 major countries.
And with no feasible alternative for some time to come, important to support sources that produce oil responsibly. @OilGasCanada @cenovus @Suncor
Same graphs exists for horse to ICE , steam to diesel-elec trains etc. We need R&D in hydrogen, nuclear, battery, elec motor, fuel cell, solar etc. It will be start-ups, university & business that will solve co2 pollution. NOT Government dictating top down ESG technologies
I guess the next transition will be to nuclear, starting around 2035. It's the obvious application for SMRs.
Fuel type is wind not sail………..
Nice plot. There are currently a few ships running on natural gas or batteries on short distances. Eventually, there will be another sigmoid curve for alternate energy sources (i.e. batteries, synthetic fuels, nuclear). It’s a matter of when and how fast.
