1/Let me offer an alternate explanation about the doomsdayers.They do not believe in doom and gloom - but cannot stand to see how fossil fuels have improved living standard around the world - and shrinking the economic distance-allowing ordinary people to live extraordinary lives

2/The doomsdayer objectives are to strangle the very factors that have allowed for living standards to improve for billions - so the billions will regress back to days when they have to struggle for food, energy, shelter and the doomsdayers live off the wonders of fossil fuels

They are also wrong because activists assume that people will be OK absorbing the cost increases due to lack of natural gas or fossil fuel supplies. They are not. That's called "human nature".
