First world countries developed because of coal and fossil fuels. Unless they are prepared to help Africa leapfrog their fuel needs and technology they should not be punishing them for using the very same available fossil fuels.
Africans know they are vulnerable to climate, but they should be lifted out of poverty first "We Africans are willing to do our share to help fight climate change. There is no "fighting" climate. The Earth doesn't care about us. It's a planet. We can't control it. Africans deserve every opportunity to succeed--same as anyone else--whether that involves mining, drilling, or whatever.

We all deserve a good chance to live a decent life. We deserve infrastructure and decent basic life. That can only happen when Africa isn't restricted and given taxes for things it didn't cause in the first place. We need industries and biofuels. You can't ban that for us

Africa is well positioned to make use of it's abundance of renewable energy resources for solar & wind power. They can leap frog fossil fuels & go straight to renewable energy infrastructure, for cheaper, cleaner energy
