The only smart way forward is one founded on voluntary production and trade. Trade is win-win, it’s mutually advantageous, both parties prosper. Anything which detracts from free trade, anything that involves Govt coercion is by definition not advantageous, it’s loose-loose.

It seems like there may be a bright outlook for fusion power with about a 100-200 billion total investment believed to be the amount to achieve commercial technology This is well within the funding levels that would be available in a research focused climate strategy
