I admire your optimism. I won't be here in 2100 but I hope for those that are the adaptation is applied and is as successful as you predict.
Just fyi, this is not my optimism, but one of the best models of adaptation (Hinkel et al); their basic point is that most countries will spend billions to avoid trillions in losses (although some will have to see a catastrophe like Katrina, to invest to avoid the next one)
