To me, the most astounding part: why would so many cheer Dessler's poor performance against the best science? Could it be that scary stories are more important to many than following the best science?

You show a chart of a one particular measure of heat not getting worse. Many people will believe that this outweighs the mountain of evidence that global warming is getting worse. It's like graphing how "millions of vaccinated people have died" so anti-vaxxers will misuse it.

Maybe just include something akin to your last tweet alongside the graph. I've seen many people use your work to "show" that climate change is not getting worse. You must know that and should be interested in avoiding that. (And. yes, others also mislead people.)

Deniers gonna deny.. Lomborgs using EPA does not make him a denier, he shows the facts. Not always all of them;) but this time it's hard to blame him for using EPA and national climate assessment
