On Newsnight UK tv last night Dr Otto Freiderikke lead author of the IPCC report said in the next decade emissions must be drastically cut but omits to mention China's emissions, as reported in the New Scientist Magazine, will not even peak till 2030
It's not all doom and gloom in climate news. Downplaying the risks doesn't help. 1.5 billion people depend on the Himalayas for water. At the current rate of ice melt the world's 3rd pole will be unable to supply enough water within the next generation. The risk of societal collapse if this happens is very real.
