I agree with you on many topics but this one does not make sense. If EU is one of the major emittor of co2 in the world , along with china and US, if it reduces its emissions by half, it shld have a significant impact?

The climate crisis is not a problem that is fixed by 1 continent. It's a global problem, of course in the grand scheme of things isolating a graph of 1 country/continent its not going to seem like much. Fixing the climate problem is having every country in the world participate

Yea it is, but surely you can see that the return on investment in this scenario for the EU is abysmal, practically non existent. All it will do is waste 5 trillion euros that could have went to actually cause major change elsewhere
