YES!! They have taken a real problem (environment) exaggerated the magnitude of the problem (we're all gonna die by 2030) and hijacked the solution and used it to gain power. These people are called watermelons (green on the outside, communist red on the inside)

There’s also a subgroup of environmentalists known as avocados. Green outside and brown inside. As in the Brownshirts of 1930’s Germany.
