Yet this author who's been vilely attacked by Mann still defends Mann's unethical publication. Ted Nordhaus seems like a reasonable guy, but he can't just stop with saying that Mann is wrong about himself but right in slandering climate skeptics.

@TedNordhaus One thing Ted Nordhaus gets wrong is that the behaviours he attributes to Herr Doktor Professor Mann were apparent immediately after MBH98 was published. Requests to see his data were flatly refused. Questions about the +/- 0.1°C margin in 1400 were sneered at... -
Mann started Real Climate to control the discussions around MBH98 and MBH99, and fend off serious re-analysis by McIntyre et al. Here they moderated serious probing question away. Stephen McIntyre started Climate Audit so his questions and answers could be discussed openly.
