Equally naïve is the thinking that fossil fuels are limitless and we don’t need to look for alternative source of energy at all. If we don’t start now, it is just going to be like asking obese to start exercising during the pandemic.

And more importantly, extremely dangerous.

It is tragic that the United States will now go down this road - the poverty that this (and other government policies) will cause will be terrible. And the People's Republic of China will privately laugh - and carry on producing more C02.

We had a steel mill close to us running off the grid. Since it closed all the local coal power stations was replaced with wind turbines. We now have 6 huge diesel generators where the steel plant was to supply power when the wind stops blowing. How is that green?

I don’t know much, but the whole idea of small, standardized nuclear power plants is appealing. I wish it would be perfect. But the emissions are low, and the power is plentiful.
