Social cost-benefit gives useful answers: Here best spend for the SDGs (longer lines better, with 50+ econ teams+2 Nobels) https://www.copenhagenconsensus.com/sites/default/files/post2015brochure_m.pdf … We estimate spending could be improved 4-fold https://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/africa/promises-keep … Also wrote book as answer :) https://www.amazon.com/Spend-Billion-World-Better-Place/dp/1940003032 …pic.twitter.com/ZDdJeSWKhK

In your analyses did you explore/find there to be thresholds on the spending? Are there some problems where $1M can have a measurable impact but others that have a higher ROI but only after meeting a minimum spending threshold.

Yes, you have to make the spending 'reasonable' — not too small, not too large. Actually, we wrote a very long book with Cambridge on all of this https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/prioritizing-development/26ABB6BD440E8DF60CDEE142D0693040 … the one-pager is just a quick insight You can read all the background papers here https://www.copenhagenconsensus.com/post-2015-consensus/research …pic.twitter.com/TeunZIgEub
