Yes I agree. In a country like mine (Paraguay), where 99% of electric is from hydro, electric cars make sense. In the vast majority of nations though, where electricity is generated using coal or gas, it doesn´t make much sense. Hybrid is a great in between choice.

Your country doesn’t have freezing temperatures as well I believe? Batteries do not perform well in -30 Celsius here in Canada.
