Yet, the rich world too often focus on expensive, ineffective and local reductions.
Let's focus on where we can cut most, cheapest, first.

Totally agree. It also helps economic development when high wealth countries (more cost-effectively) invest in reduction of emission in low wealth countries. Also: don’t hold every industry to equal reduction. In some industries it is easier/more cheaply to achieve than others.
