But Musk told us that the fuel savings made the car even cheaper, he wouldn't tell lies would he?

According to real world data the BMW 330i uses much more fuel than the article states: https://www.spritmonitor.de/en/overview/6-BMW/37-3er.html?exactmodel=330i&powerunit=2 … Almost 10liters/100km
-
not according to fuelly. Also teslas also use more electricity than their EPA range suggests and few owners calculate metered use, before charge losses.pic.twitter.com/XDRStRM2P8

Do people actually own EVs if they don't have access to charging at home (where it costs very little)? that would be a non starter for many i would think.
-
oh wow, Electricity is expensive in Australia, even at home. In BC, it's about 1/3 the cost

Yeah but most people just charge at home except for really long trips, so this doesn’t really matter much. The price will also come down over time as electric vehicles are more widespread and there are more charging stations.
-
that's unlikely IMO. they will tax it heavily to replace the massive amounts tax they currently collect on liquid fuels.

EV owners usually charge at home which is much cheaper. Tesla Superchargers are for long journeys. Also that BMW 330i probably uses more gas than the spec states.

A little disappointed in your post here. This is misleading. 90% of charging occurs at home which is less then 1/2 the cost of the superchargers.
