From your book: "If we don’t say stop, the current, false climate alarm, despite its good intentions, is likely to leave the world much worse off than it could be. " That's true, but even more true is the question whether the world would be (or not) better off without the alarm.

Said differently: How much alarmism is needed for large scale change to happen. Climate change is an issue that requires action from us all. Unfortunately, people tend to not change if they don't feel personally affected. Alarmism is not ideal, causes costs, but affects emotions
