Ur right, harder for analysis to estimate radical changes, but guess we both agree that some reasonable estimates of impacts (+/-) of a radical change still better than no estimates I'm curious: what do you think would be the radical solution against corona for Malawi?

These estimates may actually be worse. Because the message can be "sorry old folks, we can't afford to keep you safe". Then it's on to the next LIC analysis. It can inhibit effective action.

Sorry, don't follow — 1) what do you think would be the radical solution for corona in Malawi? 2) About "sorry old folks" — every yr 22,000 die from HIV in Malawi. We could save most for about $12m Why would that not be first priority before spending $12 bn on saving fewer?
