This is actually a bigger problem, long term, than current deaths of the old. Maybe a bit harsh, but probably true.

If lockdowns are ineffective, then how did South Korea stop their outbreak? They just got lucky?
U said 'likely very ineffective'...that's not what Lancet paper says. "There are few data available from the literature on coronavirus outbreaks to guide countries on the use of school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic". Paper's overall conclusion is we don't quite know.
It does say "Recent modelling studies of COVID-19 predict that school closures alone would prevent only 2–4% of deaths, much less than other social distancing interventions." So to clarify, that is what I use to suggest school closures not very effectivepic.twitter.com/RMFWseLhPt
I think scaring children is part of the strategy.
Humanity will suffer the consequences of the BRUTAL treatment of most children, being an infectious disease that leaves them unharmed in the absolute majority of cases and wide range of ages, from 0 to 15!. Still do not understand why we prolong that dreadful SUFFERING
