Sweden is not a hugely insightful example, unfortunately. SE had an anomalously low transmission factor before social distancing was introduced (MAR10). If the UK or NL had tried to follow the same route they'd ended up in a epic humanitarian catastrophe.

Postponing deaths toward the future benefits us collectively if the hospital system is likely to be overwhelmed. I'm starting to agree that this outcome is less likely (tho not improbable) in a second surge.
