We could prevent 40,000 traffic deaths in the US by setting the speed limit to 3 mph. Of course this would have huge social ramifications. We need to strike a sensible balance between saving lives and keeping society going. #COVID19

You are aware there is research showing the opposite? Lower speed limits result in more traffic deaths because of the driving behavior it promotes.
Interesting. Pls refer me to that research if you could. Here, my point was more that we have a discussion on whether to go 55mph or 85mph, but not 3 or 200
