For Lomborg, there is no crisis that can not be minimized so that no policy response is needed. #soundsfamiliarhttps://twitter.com/BjornLomborg/status/1248666930313134083 …

You are such an idiot. A 0.1% fatality rate implies that for the 7000+ deaths in NYC 7 million+ people in the city have already been infected - out of a population of 8 million people. Totally impossible. Just sit this one out, ok?
-
Sitting it out is not a possibility. His literal dozens of readers, around the globe, would not know where to turn for guidance.

There is a science community where you could submit these claims for review. You realize until you do that, you are just selling something. Don't abstract too much on CFR. Look at people dying who would not die from the flu -- active people in positions of responsibility.

Re: "Of course, this is of interest" Ironic that u of all people would cite John Ioannidis, given what he says: Human-made climate change is on the same level of certainty as smoking killing people. 17:17 to 18:33 : http://rationallyspeakingpodcast.org/show/rs-174-john-ioannidis-on-what-happened-to-evidence-based-med.html … https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5933781/ …pic.twitter.com/i3dPHi3wsR

Smoking has Randomized Control Studies to bolster the assertion that Smoking kills. When you show me an RCT that says human CO2 Is the predominant cause of the proximate warming I'll give your belief some credence. Too much of the science is poorly done.
