You can kickstart an economy with correct economic policy.

The only "kickstart" an economy needs is the assurance that the State is going to get out of the way and stay out. We can navigate almost any "policy" if we just know that it's not going to change midstream because some "leader" wants to try some "kickstart" crap.

The study seems to be absurdly vague, not the least of which is because it doesn't account for the unprecedented level of technology that would clearly mitigate the leverage of the manpower labor advantaged in the past.

The economy is fine. It’s just shut down. The key is going to be keeping businesses afloat so people have jobs to go back to. If they can do that it’ll recover quickly. If not and you have tons of businesses filing for bankruptcy then it could get ugly.

Strikes me that rather too much has been read into somewhat spurious correlations. Corona V. kills predominantly those already in ill health and over 60's. These groups (which include me) typically consume more than they produce.
