Rightwing sociopathic quacks like @BjornLomborg: are ALWAYS on the wrong side of things precautionary, (including climate).
Saying "no worse than the flu" was ignorant 3 months ago; saying it after data from the past few weeks is outright malfeasance.

Bjorn, what does 'significant data' even mean? He extrapolates from a cruise ship and two localities to the US. Even if he adjusts for the US population (how?), he can't factor in that millions of US infected will not have the same medical care as the infected on the cruise ship.

The more recent data shows the case fatality rate is likely much lower than previous estimates -- thus newer modeling shows lower mortality.

Fatality rate best known in the world right now is thanks to a case study in one German village: around 14% l. Enough to avoid a second outbreak? "Like a flu" has been driving many countries to war with no armour in a few weeks...

Obviously a illness overwhelming hospitals and cemeteries is more than a common Influenza. It's true we need to re-open our economies as soon as possible... but before that there is a lot of work to do (governments and citizens).

What the “some studies” are that report 75-80% asymptomatic cases may be more important than dates. The studies I read about put it around 25-50%, including on the cruise ship. Did these 80% studies not factor pre-symptomatic or something?

"No worse than common flu" is a different string of words than "a fatality rate that is actually similar to the seasonal flu". Explain the decision to reword. Do you not see the difference? Disease behavior is not independent of the interventions.
