Not unexpected. Blue states tend to be more metropolitan with less land per person and less distance between individuals. Social distancing will have a significant impact in metro areas. Red states tend to be rural with more land and a greater distance between individuals.

Bjorn, I read your book. It’s good. You really should look up this topic. It’s been discussed in depth. The states on the right are rural and driving to the grocery store takes several miles of driving. Hawaii is an island. City people don’t travel far. Hope that helps.
