I have noticed that climate alarmism is more of a faith-based thing rather than a fact- or data-driven thing...

No, you've noticed that you are ignoring the vast, vast majority of scientists, in favour of people like this who have a track record of adding 'valid stat A' to 'valid stat B' to make 'untrue case X'

Yes to the 10 million hectares burnt (actually 10.7Mha), and that is *exactly* what I use But "staggering" obviously dependent on normal — and normal for Australia is much higher. Just last 5 years of satellite data average 21.7Mha https://twitter.com/BjornLomborg/status/1218146725258506242 …pic.twitter.com/J1JiD4cJ85

To illustrate this, compare the biggest causes of death in the USA to Google searches & media coverage about causes of death. Terrorism isn't even a blip on the radar yet it's mostly all we hear about on the news. Data shows more people die of pneumonia than homicide.pic.twitter.com/7b2jgQYq9r

Thanks for the chart/context -burn acreage ‘19/‘20 context since 2000. Earlier periods were even greater- ie: ‘74/75 was ~11 times 2019/‘20. I suspect a chart that went back 150yrs wld further diminish claims of ‘unprecedented’, as would a sim. chart of drought severity/ time

You're still leaving all this up then, despite the researchers themselves telling you it's BS? I suppose you know more than the actual experts on fires too?

Hey, I don't see any disclaimers for the gigantic pile of money Australia's government is paying you. Isn't that conflict of interest worth mentioning? https://amp.theguardian.com/australia-news/2016/sep/24/bjrn-lomborg-centre-got-640000-for-report-saying-limiting-warming-rise-to-2c-not-worth-it?__twitter_impression=true …

From the same source as yr graph: "This fire year [2019-20], satellite fire detections in New South Wales are more than four times higher than the previous record year (the 2002-03 fire season). Why omit this?https://globalfiredata.org/pages/2020/01/03/2019-20-australian-bushfires/ …
