Bison & cows have about the same physiology & impact on the atmosphere. Prior to Europeans in N. America, there were ≈ 80 million bison roaming the Great Plains. Today? ≈ zero. Instead ≈ 65 million beef & dairy cattle. But today cattle are a threat to the planet. Sure.
