The tax payers are not so dumb to believe that $2 or $10 or whatever will actually "fix it". In Germany, you pay more than 60ct/litre gasoline, and 6ct/kWh to subsidize "renewable energy". Effect? Zero! To the contrary, NGOs are blaming us we're doing nothing and must pay more.

Interesting to see how few Americans r willing to see even a modest increase in the fed excise tax on gasoline, which has been frozen at its current rate since 1993--despite that they are already paying for the shortfall this causes in the Highway Trust fund, via their income tax

Wait.What about the second response? 60% are in support of raising taxes on companies even if electricity and transportation prices go up. There was no number put to that response. Isn't that either a contradiction, or a statement about Americans disliking JUST taxes on citizens?
