Many of us think that factory farming is an animal welfare travesty. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about that, but at least we could avoid supporting it by purchasing meat. I don't think your article properly wrestles with this reality.

I think you have no patience with eco totatalitarians who want to drastically alter our lifestyles in the name of saving the environment. There are things we can do on the margins. What we can’t do is save Nature from itself. Change including extinction, is a part of life.

I’ve been vegetarian since I was 16 because I love animals. I roll my eyes at leftists who just started for climate reasons but if it saves a few cows, I guess it’s ok for them to virtue signal.

Why not do both?
