I read about this a few years ago in the @FT when it was still a proper newspaper. Apparently, the arrangement, which had at least a few years history then, works pretty well for all concerned. Compromise on all sides re noise / late hours.

An idea of mine would be to only give the vote to older people (say 50+) This would make younger people interact with the older, in an effort to influence them.

A nice idea, though where I live, there is an 18 month wait list to get into too few retirement and extended care facilities. Putting young people in displaces those in need

How about giving me free lodging so I can talk some sense into these kids...

@BuiltJustice @michaelgeller I have to wonder if this helps break down generational gaps in communications. Does anyone have access to more study on social, psychosocial and affordability outcomes? Where else is this being done?

The Dutch seem to be creative and less bureauctatically hidebound than most countries. This is a good idea. We looked at a similar idea with the Chinese Youth Foundation some years ago. We need to think out of the box on how we best manage the growing numbers of older people
