Need more options for vocational skills (trades - mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc). Many kids, who don’t fit the “book smart” mold are being left behind.

The most reliable indicator of child educational achievement is not income, but parental educational achievement. Income is the spin off matrix. That is parents who have superior education will have children attain higher levels of education. The other factor is /2

The US government "school" system is working exactly as designed, keeping the great mass of people ignorant and obedient. The cost of that system is also impoverishing people with taxes, keeping them under control too. Abolish the government "schools".

Well, we've heard all this before. The solution to income inequality is to give more money to "unequals" through higher minimum wages and govt-run income redistribution. I have no problem with higher wages, but there are not enough big employers who can afford them.
-
Walmart can afford it and it seems to actually be helping both the company and the employees. But the U.S. will always have low starting wages for unskilled workers. But they could go higher. Top-down income redistribution is possible but a non-starter in political climate.
